Cupenya’s CEO & co-founder, Dominik Blattner, will be mentoring at Startup Weekend Utrecht. This years event is all about Smart Cities and will take place from November 14 to 16.

Startup Weekend is a 54 hour marathon event that brings together Utrecht entrepreneurs, developers, and experts from all domains to produce incredible work. This event is open to anyone with a bright idea in need of feedback from their peers. Teams will be formed around the top ideas and embark on a three-day frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations with the chance to receive critical feedback from local entrepreneur’s.

The mentoring process will consist of several aspects around the topics of business model, product and tech, and growth and sales. Dominik’s mentoring process will mainly consist of advising teams on their business models, refining their business proposition to best capture an audience, and explaining how to adequately problem solve in order to maximize profits.

This years theme, Smart Cities, is about developing products and services that make our cities better places to live. There is a particular interest in developing new sharing economies, urban analytics, efficient and innovative transport, energy, and utilities solutions, and smarter home or work spaces.
